Position Title: Clinical Treatment Supervisor
Reports To: Clinical Director
Status: 30 hours per week, W2 Employment Status
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Flexible, with in-person meetings required per key responsibilities).

Position Overview:
​​The Clinical Treatment Supervisor (CTS) will work as a clinical professional, collaborating closely with the Clinical Director to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services. The CTS will oversee clinical documentation, including reviewing, providing feedback, and approving progress notes, diagnostic assessments, and treatment plans to ensure compliance with clinical standards and medical necessity requirements. This role also involves coordinating group therapy sessions based on client needs and caseload volume.

The CTS will train and develop therapists in school-based, outpatient, and CTSS (Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports) programs, equipping them to deliver effective care. They will teach and model therapeutic interventions to enhance treatment outcomes. Additionally, the CTS  will step in to provide client coverage during staff absences and also maintain a small caseload to address client referrals.

Responsibilities also include indirect tasks such as reviewing clinical documentation, responding to emails, attending meetings, and participating in professional development activities. Flexible scheduling allows for virtual or on-site interactions as needed.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to align clinical operations with organizational goals.
  • Review and approve progress notes, diagnostic assessments, and treatment plans to ensure compliance with medical necessity standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee group therapy sessions based on client needs.
  • Conduct indirect tasks, including documentation review, email correspondence, meetings, and professional development.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support to staff to improve clinical documentation and therapeutic approaches.
  • Conduct 1:1 supervision to support staff development and ensure clinical effectiveness.
  • Train and develop therapists to enhance their skills and professionalism across programs.
  • Teach and model therapeutic interventions to improve client outcomes.
  • Step in as needed to cover staff absences and maintain continuity of care.
  • Manage a small client caseload.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings, including supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual – Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.
  • Must hold a current clinical license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical mental health services.
  • Willingness to work in school settings.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule (20-40 hours per week).
  • Willingness to supervise 2-5 clinical supervisees.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in providing culturally competent care.
